History and Structure
Mercy Kareithi & Company Advocates was founded on 23rd March 2006 as a boutique law firm with the sole aim of offering customized legal solutions. The firm offers specialty legal services in East Africa, mainly in international human rights law, family & child protection, employment & labour, education, policy analysis, legal and corporate strategy. Passion for justice drives us. We have a strong team of 11 employees.

Professional Indemnity & Risk Management
Our firm is insured by M/s. Britam Insurance Company Limited and has a professional indemnity of Kshs. 20M to cover claims for professional negligence. Due to our firm’s values, we have never had a claim lodged against our PI cover. We also have a business continuity plan (BCP) to guide the firm in case of acts of God (Force Majeure) e.g. the COVID-19 pandemic.
Legal Fees
We aim to be reasonable in our costing, guided by the Advocates Remuneration Order (ARO), 2017.
